| Summary: | The article contains analysis of results of mechanisms of action of immunomodulators. Research focused on one of these compounds — pidotimod. Pidotimod is a safe immunomodulator, which is both efficient in prophylactic use and as a medication in controlled trials with participation of a large number of patients. Pidotimod is ministerial to a faster disappearance of signs at the same time, the drug is capable of intensify functions of immune cells both in vivo and in vitro. The improvement of research methology and acquired knowledge of clinical immunology should be the starting point for new research on pidotimod that stimulate further clinical application for the prevention of acute respiratory tract infection in paediatric age. |
