Description
Summary:The author reflects on the evolution of criminology starting from the necessity of being able to distinguish between discomfort and psychopathological disorders in our contemporary society. Such a distinction is essential to better seek good solutions to transgressive behaviours in adolescents. In fact, due to the increase in unemployment, adolescence is a period in life when young people are forced to work out new strategies without having past experience to rely on. Therefore, criminology requires new attitudes in order to get the theoretical principles work more effectively. This is why it is really important that criminological knowledge should be more realistic, more applicable to real situations, targeting more and more people in decision-making process. The reference point is the action-research by Kurt Lewin which can be considered as the study of a social situation with a view to improving the quality of action within it.
