ABSTRACT
Introduction: Bullying in adolescents has a negative impact on all parties involved, both victims, perpetrators, children or adolescents who witness, and even the institution or school where bullying occurs. One of the important factors in the incidence of bullying in adolescents is parenting.
Method:This study is a survey study with a population of adolescents in Bali. The sample of this study was 783 respondents who were taken by consecutive sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire in google form distributed via whats app group. Data were analyzed using simple logistic regression to determine the relationship between authoritarian parenting and bullying behavior in adolescents. Result: The results of the study show that children with authoritarian parenting have a risk of being bullied by 3.87 higher than adolescents who receive permissive and democratic parenting (95% CI:1.75 – 8.57) with a significance value of 0.001.
Conclution: This study showed that children with authoritarian parenting have a 3.87 times higher risk of becoming a bullies than adolescents who receive permissive and democratic parenting.
