| description | The research, useful to bring the design choices on the path of sustainability and resilience, also in order to optimize uses and functions of the territory, requires a laboratory and experimental commitment for the governance of the processes suitable to awaken a culture of living based on a convinced ecosystem approach, whose benefits are fully understood in the short, medium and long term.
In this sense the role of the Mediterranean University for the Agenda 2030 is expressed with the activities of the laboratories that obtain energy and acquisitions from research to contribute to the creation of sustainable thought by the training and initiatives of the "third mission" towards a more equal, healthier, educated society, based on the knowledge economy.
The continuous process of territory resignification through the work of the communities can only be achieved through a coordinated and integrated set of interventions, actions and complementary measures, with physical and social infrastructural nature, which promote a new way to knowing and experiencing the territorial context.
The paper proposes critical reflections derived from specific experiences conducted with laboratory methods to search for sustainable paths of propagating urban and territorial quality, to structure the association between places and cultural, landscape and environmental heritage, characterizing metropolitan contexts, in a new regenerative sense.
Didattica, ricerca e terza missione per lo sviluppo sostenibile delle città, delle comunità, del territorio
La ricerca, utile a portare le scelte progettuali sulla strada della sostenibilità e della resilienza, anche al fine di ottimizzare usi e funzioni del territorio, richiede un impegno laboratoriale e sperimentale per il governo dei processi idonei a risvegliare una cultura dell’abitare che si fondi su un approccio ecosistemico convinto, di cui si comprendano pienamente i benefici a breve, medio e lungo termine.
In questo senso il ruolo della Mediterranea per l’Agenda 2030 si esprime con le attività dei laboratori che attingono energie ed acquisizioni dalla ricerca per contribuire alla creazione del pensiero sostenibile attraverso la formazione e le iniziative della “terza missione” verso una società, più equa, più sana, più colta, basata sull’economia della conoscenza.
Il continuo processo di risignificazione del territorio attraverso l’operato delle comunità, si può realizzare solo attraverso un insieme coordinato ed integrato di interventi, azioni e misure complementari di natura infrastrutturale, sia fisica che sociale che promuovano un nuovo modo di conoscere e vivere il contesto territoriale.
Il paper propone riflessioni critiche derivate da specifiche esperienze condotte con metodi laboratoriali per ricercare percorsi sostenibili di propagazione della qualità urbana e territoriale, per strutturare in un nuovo senso rigenerativo il sodalizio culturale tra luoghi e patrimonio culturale, paesaggistico e ambientale, caratterizzanti i contesti metropolitani. |
