Summary: | The article explores the issue of basic education quality in West Africa, with an approach that values the perceptions of local educational actors. We chose to focus on the case of Benin, and particularly the town of Come in the south of the country. After presenting the general context of research as well as relevant conceptual and theoretical frameworks to study quality, this article highlights the many challenges in basic education while providing food for thought for quality improvement. |
