description A monitoring and fault diagnosis system for shearer based on NI CRIO embedded platform and LabView development platform was constructed, main functions and design of hardware and software of the system were introduced in details. The system not only can real-timely monitor, control state of movement device of the shearer, and make over-threshold alarm, and can real-timely store monitored parameters and fault information, so as to analyze running status of shearer by technician, but also can real-timely display vibration signals of the shearer, and can filter, analyze time-domain, cepstrum and power spectrum, so as to implement fault diagnosis function before delivery and in maintenance process, which is helpful to locate fault for shearer.
