description This paper reviews the state-of-the-art in offshore oil and energy system design, develops a prototype hybrid marine renewable energy system and discusses an artificial intelligence algorithm to optimize the structure. A control strategy for the coordination of hybrid energy in an interconnected gas grid is developed. Numerical example results show that the optimization of the coordinated control strategy can provide a better balance between economy and reliability.
