Summary:The article discusses the life and writings of Blanco White from its context of production and its various intentions. Given the abundant academic production around his figure, which is being developed by historians and literary critics since the second half of the last century, and had little influence at the local level, although several of his writings are aimed at Hispanic, this work builds a short intellectual biographical sketch with aim to provide elements for understanding the character as the main research on his political, literary and theological works.
