Description
Summary:Contemporary art, while human activity, reflects the human condition of plurality. Thinking and teaching the art in these terms requires distance of one of the main ways we address it: the interpretation. Interpreting is always a work of translation of facts and values through codes, which means that an activity is more involved with the language of ideology than with the thought that generates understanding and comprehension. Starting from the case study of Viennese Actionism movement, this article explores the development of methods of ensuring compliance transverse heterogeneity of contemporary art and broaden our understanding of it.
