Description
Summary:Exophytic Papilloma's are a rare and unique sinonasal tumor. The location of their presentation along with histological evaluation helps differentiate the exophytic papilloma from the other types of sinonasal papillomas. In this case, a patient presented with right nasal obstructive symptoms and right epistaxis, nasoendoscopy showed a right anterior septal mass, endonasal endoscopic excisional biopsy with inferior turbinectomy and SMR was performed and showed 2 more masses to be present on the right lateral sinus wall and left anterior septum. Excisional biopsies were consistent with exophytic papilloma's and HPV 16 positive. The patient was then followed with serial nasoendoscopies for evaluation. We will discuss the usual and the unique presentations of exophytic papillomas, compare the different types of sinonasal papillomas, and how we treated them from a surgical perspective.
