Aim: The research objective was to assess perceptions toward rape myth acceptance (RMA) among college students.
Methodology: Two hundred and ninety-five undergraduate and postgraduate college students studying in Bengaluru city were administered a 22-item Illinois RMA to measure the acceptance of rape myths.
Results: The results indicated a higher endorsement of rape myths among males than female students.
Conclusion: This research provided the need for interventions to prevent sexual assault and rape against women and girls across the age with diverse groups of populations in India. |
