| description | <p align="left">Tal como sucedió anteriormente con la pintura, el teatro o la imaginería popular, el cine ha contribuido a construir una nueva “imagen de Jesús” presente hoy en el imaginario colectivo de niños, adolescentes, jóvenes y adultos. En este mundo, dominado por la imagen más que por la palabra, ha surgido un género cinematográfico propio centrado en episodios bíblicos y especialmente ocupado en mostrar la vida de Jesucristo. Esta abundante filmografía –un centenar largo– es un referente obligado para la teología, la cristología y le educación de la fe que lleva consigo algunas exigencias. A la vez, se ha consolidado un imaginario que puebla por igual la mente y el corazón de creyentes o no creyentes de un lado y otro del Atlántico y de diversas confesiones cristianas. En ese imaginario detectamos elementos de una “cristología” que en ocasiones reduce, condensa o reinterpreta el mensaje y la persona de Jesús.</p><p align="left">Just as it happened with painting, theatre or popular imagery, the cinema has contributed young people and adults. In a world dominated by images rather than by words, a new cinematographic genre has been born. Said genre focuses on biblical passages and is particularly concerned in depicting Christ’s life. The large amount of related filmography constitutes a compulsory reference for Theology, Christology and the education of Faith. At the same time, this imagery has settled soundly within the hearts and minds of both believers and non-believers all over the World, even if they profess different religions. Some elements of Christology can be detected in that imagery, which reduces, condenses or reinterprets both the message of Jesus Christ and his own person.</p><p><em></em><strong>Palabras clave</strong>: Cine, Filmografía, Jesucristo.</p><p><em></em><strong>Key words</strong>: Cinema, Jesus Christ, Movies.</p> |
