Research progress on the role of microRNA in diabetic osteoporosis

Diabetic osteoporosis (DOP) is a common bone metabolic disease in patients with diabetes. Under the high glucose (HG) environment, abnormally expressed microRNA (miRNA) interferes with osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) by regulating key molecules in the Wnt/β...

description Diabetic osteoporosis (DOP) is a common bone metabolic disease in patients with diabetes. Under the high glucose (HG) environment, abnormally expressed microRNA (miRNA) interferes with osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) by regulating key molecules in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, leading to the occurrence and development of DOP. Exploring the role of miRNA in DOP can provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of DOP.
