description In order to adapt to the latest development of higher education in the era of big data, improve the sensitivity for postgraduate of chemical engineering in the public opinions of public events related to their major, this study took “the pandemic of COVID-19 on Twitter in Germany” as an example and investigated the health communication and public opinions on COVID-19 based on the Python scripts and Twitter streaming application programming interface using statistical analysis and chi square feature selection. The provided method is helpful to improve the insight, prediction, scientific literacy and innovation ability of postgraduate of chemical engineering.
