Description
Summary:This study investigates and quantifies the electromagnetic effects of vibration and noise in high-speed, permanent magnet motors. In particular, the effects of carrier harmonics generated in the electromagnetic excitation source by the pulse width modulation method are derived based on dynamic simulations. Noise, vibration, and harshness responses are then analyzed and compared to assess their induced effects on motors during actual operations.
