A língua indígena aparece transcrita nestes livros sob a forma do diálogo e do discurso, mostrando o "selvagem convertível" dotado de palavra para expressar, em sua língua, seu desejo de conversão e de aliança com os franceses.<br>The attitude of tolerance toward the indian, the cultural inheritance of the friendly franco-tupi relationship and the gentle conversion are the basis of the representation of the Tupinamba "convertible" with docility found in Claude d'Abbeville's and Yves d'Evreux's relations. The indian language is transcripted in these books as dialogues and speeches, showing the "convertible savage" endowed with the word in order to express in his own language his will of conversion and his alliance with the French. |
