The practical reduction in size is calculated by comparing the size of the standard elliptical-shaped slot with the size of the circular slot. Changes in the practical radius of the triangular patch, the main axis radius of the circular slot, the ground plane length, and feed line width are investigated. The proposed radiator has the dimensions of 25.5 mm × 22.5 mm <i>×</i> 1.6 mm. This small construction has a broad bandwidth of 100 MHz (5.8 GHz), with a 3% fractional bandwidth (FBW). |
