| description | Today, energy means wealth and has an important role in cattle production costs. As the existing resources are being reduced, it is essential to turn towards the search for renewable energy sources. On the other hand, increasing number of animals per farm leads to problems regarding the adequate disposal and manipulation of manure. We are facing the adoption of appropriate EU directives regulating this issue, which will cause even more problems to farmers. Strengthening production facilities and increasing the production results in growing demand for energy. There are opportunities for biogas production on cattle farms and its use for energy generation. This energy could be used on farms or sold on the energy market. At the moment, a lack of clear legislation and low purchase price for energy obtained from renewable sources pose a problem for mass generation of energy from biogas. |
