| description | In the article, the researches of many scholars dealt with the role of libraries in the modern society, their transformation, as well as the activity of libraries in the information and analytical direction, which formed the theoretical basis of the srudy are presented. The activation of the processes of informatization of society is analyzed where the role of libraries in the modern world is fundamentally changing. It is emphasized that in today’s information society, proper organization of communication is a key factor influencing the effectiveness of the activity. The activity of library information centers as one of the means of social communication is revealed. It is proved that today there is an increased demand for receiving and using information of all levels of complexity, especially in management structures, which require independent, accurate and effective decisions. Due to the democratic changes in society, the rapid formation of numerous political parties, the emergence of a large number of public organizations, their information requests are growing, the information bases of these structures are being formed and the information market is developing accordingly. The new IT organizations need market transformation. All this requires to fill social communications and relevant information bases with new, up-to-date information. The information and analytical product of scientific libraries is always geared to the interests of the whole society, not to individual political figures. The results of the activities of the National Libraries are a source of objective information and, therefore, there are every reason to be used by the authorities to make important political decisions. |
