Description
Summary:Doan Bui, a journalist at L’Obs, published a personal book in 2016: Le Silence de mon père. It is a kind of investigation about the narrator’s father, who is aphasic because of a stroke. The interest of the book arises from the convergence of three factors. It is, first of all, a récit de filiation; it is at the same time a post-migration narrative; it finds, in the end, an original declination in relation to the Vietnamese language and its use of names, pronouns and interlocutor reference.
