This paper reviews the present knowledge and the remaining uncertainties about the contemporary climate change, its causes and peculiarity in relation to past climate changes, and the capabilities of future climate modelling. However, uncertainties about the future climate are related to the economic, social and political choices requested by global warming mitigation, more than to the uncertainties of the science of climate. |
