Till March 12, 2020, the worldwide 125048 cases and 4613 (3.69%) deaths in 117 countries have been reported However, Guan et al. reported 1099 patients with confirmed Covid-19 with death rate of 1.4%. It is pertinent to note that during 1918-19 flu (H1N1) pandemic about 500 million people or onethird of the world's population became infected with flu virus with about 50 million deaths worldwide.
