Summary:Taxonomic composition of the subgenus Hanibotus Reitter, 1912 of the genus Otiorhynchus Germar, 1822 is revised. O. auripes Stierlin, 1875 is transferred from the subgenus Panorosemus Reitter, 1912 to the subgenus Hanibotus. O. hajastani Arnoldi, 1966 and species allied to O. semigranulatus Stierlin, 1861 and O. coyei Marseul, 1868 are transferred from Hanibotus to Nubidanus Reitter, 1912. O. glazunovi Davidian et Savitsky, sp. n. from Iran is described. The new synonymy was established: O. eques Reitter, 1895 = O. sunicensis Arnoldi, 1964, syn. n. A key of species of the subgenus Hanibotus is given. Lectotypes of O. sulcibasis Reitter, 1895, O. eques Reitter, 1895, O. brevinasus Reitter, 1910, O. pereques Reitter, 1912, O. subeques Reitter, 1912, O. iranicus Arnoldi, 1964, O. sunicensis Arnoldi, 1964 and O. zajcevi Arnoldi, 1964 are designated.
