Summary:A new species of spiders Haplodrassus alexeevi sp.  n. (Gnaphosidae) is described from BogdoBaskunchak Nature Reserve (Astrakhan Region, Russia). This new species belongs to the species-group umbratilis and close to Haplodrassus soerenseni widely distributed in temperate areas of the Palaearctic and to H. umbratilis widely distributed in Europe. The new species differs in the absence of tooth on outer margin of embolus, acute terminal process of bulbus, widened apically tibial apophysis of a tibia of male palp, round shape of spematheca.
