description The knowledge of trees at the beginning of the 21st century cannot be compared to that in the early fifties of the 20th century. Trees are characterized by longevity, adaptation, high variability, very complex organization, not only morphological, anatomical, physiological, but also at the genetic level. The effect of functional diploidisation of woody polyploids on genetic organization of actual diploids (secondary, tertiary and quaternary) has been dealt with. The process of diploidisation has a huge evolution and technological potential.
