Description
Summary:Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 primarily affects the lung resulting in acute lung injury, which may progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome and rarely multiorgan dysfunction syndrome. Elderly are the worst affected among all age groups. Falls are one of the most common problems faced by the elderly. Since the outbreak of this pandemic, most hospital resources have been redirected to the care of COVID-19 patients, resulting in the postponement of many orthopedic elective surgeries. In this case report, we discussed managing a traumatic fall in the elderly who tested positive for COVID-19.
