description The objective of this study was to obtain cellulosic fabric with mosquito-repellent properties and/or fragrance finish by using essential oils from natural plants (cinnamon oil, peppermint oil. Lavender oil, and fragrance oil combination of a variety of plants from woods, flowers, etc.). Oil was encapsulated in silica mesoporous microcapsules, by using the solvent evaporation method. Different solutions were prepared to treat the fabric by them as follows: Natural pecten polymer with each kind of oil in different concentrations (10, 15, 20%) with or without a crosslinker. Natural pectin polymer with encapsulated oil in silica mesoporous for each kind, different concentration was used (10, 15, 20%) with or without crosslinker. Natural chitosan polymer with each kind of oil with or without crosslinker. Natural chitosan polymer with encapsulated oil in silica mesoporous for each kind. The fabric was treated by the pad-dry-cure method. The formed silica mesoporous micro capsuled and the treated fabric were investigated by using different techniques.
