An Intercomparison of French and UK Pressure Standards

Within the framework of co-operation between the Bureau National de Métrologie and the National Physical Laboratory an intercomparison of the French and UK barometric pressure standards was performed during 1973 and 19 74. Both ‘absolute’ and ‘gauge’ pressures in the range 0–110 kPa (0–1100 mbar) we...

description Within the framework of co-operation between the Bureau National de Métrologie and the National Physical Laboratory an intercomparison of the French and UK barometric pressure standards was performed during 1973 and 19 74. Both ‘absolute’ and ‘gauge’ pressures in the range 0–110 kPa (0–1100 mbar) were employed and the results demonstrated that the respective national standards agreed to within 3 Pa (0.03 mbar) throughout the range, which is well inside the measurement uncertainties associated with the exercise.
