| Summary: | The author of this paper tried hard to examine the attitudes of refugees from Kosovo and Metohia as regards their confession, attachment to the church and conception of God. Based on the conducted research and analysis of the given data, the author states the subject and aim of this paper were accomplished, although there were some questions the interrogates could not give the answer, or where they were given partly. The author tried to determine the mentioned attitudes of refugees by obtaining answers to a wide range of questions made up in the poll, and being asked in the interview. By doing this kind of methodical procedure, the interrogates are mostly people declaring themselves as the ones who believe in God, they celebrate their Patron-saint's Day, give importance to the Saints, they celebrate great Orthodox holidays such as Christmas and Eastern, respect religious customs. Furthermore, they go to the church during the great holidays, Patron-saint's Day, and memorial services. They fast only for Good Friday and Christmas Eve; they do not have special prayer's rules, and when they are saying their prayers to the God they do it because of their health. The author also came to the conclusion that women were ahead regarding the observance of religious rules. It is interesting to say that the interrogates do not talk about faith and church within their families, although their parents believe in God. They believe in the life after death, but they do not have a mental picture how it should look like, they are eager neither to read the Bible not watch religion-related broadcast on TV etc. |
