In other words, there were few authentic nobles who could claim to be descended from the Goths. Moreover, among the nobles of ejecutoria, there were many descendants of converse lineages, that is, new Christians considered as second-class vassals in this last Spain of the Habsburgs so obsessed with the ideology of blood purity. They were hidalgos manchegos and manchados.
