Summary:We report a typical case of takotsubo cardiomyopathy developed in a 34 year female post-laparoscopic salpingectomy. The prompt insertion of intra-aortic-balloon-pump (IABP) with supportive medical treatment restored her haemodynamic within three days. The present case signifies the importance of early insertion of IABP in complex cases of acute heart failure.
