Description
Summary:For recent decades, youth situation in Quebec has been characterized by a significant increase of worked hours in parallel with studying. Besides favourable social conditions in the institutional, legal and labour market, this article shows that such singular situation results also from youth dispositions and temporalities. An analysis of work life dispositions underlines a "two-times" configuration of young people attitudes towards work. This configuration reveals not only a youth lifestyle and activity mode adapted to the context of job insecurity, but also the internalization of an injunction to manage individual transitions.
