An Efficient Estimation Procedure in Two-Occasion Successive Sampling

In this paper an efficient estimation procedure to estimate the current population mean in two-occasion successive sampling has been developed. An exponential regression type estimator of current population mean is proposed and corresponding optimum replacement strategy has been suggested. The super...

description In this paper an efficient estimation procedure to estimate the current population mean in two-occasion successive sampling has been developed. An exponential regression type estimator of current population mean is proposed and corresponding optimum replacement strategy has been suggested. The superiority of the proposed estimator is empirically established over sample mean estimator and natural successive sampling estimator. Results are interpreted and suitable recommendations have been made.
