【Abstract】 In recent years, cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) has been paid more and more concern because it can cause cognitive decline, dementia, gait abnormality, emotion disorder and etc. The important imaging feature of CSVD is diffuse white matter lesions. This article reviewed the advance in the establishment of animal models of CSVD with white matter lesion in different ways. These animal models included bilateral common carotid artery stenosis mouse model, cerebral amyloid angiopathy mouse model, Notch3 transgenic mouse model, spontaneous hypertensive rat model, stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rat model, and mixed models composed of two or more single animal models. |
