Summary:Corneliu C. Rădulescu was a distinguished professor at the University Politehnica of Timisoara, who brought an important contribution to the fields of Machine Parts and Robotics. He was born in Bucharest, on the 16th of January 1946, but he studied and lived his entire adult life in Timişoara. He graduated in 1972 the Polytechnic Institute “Traian Vuia” Timişoara, Mechanical Engineering Faculty, section Mechanical Engineering Technology. Passioned by robotics, Corneliu C. Rădulescu became a pioneer in the field, with his Ph.D. thesis Contributions to optimal structural and dimensional synthesis of spherical and quasi-spherical mechanisms with application to industrial robots, finished in 1987.
