Summary:In this paper a comparative analysis undertaken of experience of similar works based on the story «The Fisherman and His Wife» Bro. Grimm, «The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish» Pushkin’s poems and fairy Udmurt writer Kuzebai Gerda «Bears» (Vol. N. «Vagrant story»). Such an analysis, according to the authors, makes it possible to convincingly show the students that entertaining form of fairy tales is a special way of artistic expression and expression outlook, worldview, which is characteristic of the representatives of a national community and determines the specificity of their behavioral practices, ways to deal with the phenomena of reality (mentality). Thus, the study of fairy tales promotes spiritual development of the individual students through awareness inherent in her cultural and axiological code of the nation.
