Summary: | In this article the fractional phase congruency method for iris image key points descriptors is proposed. The fractional phase congruency is calculated using fractional wavelet transform through the fractional Fourier transform. Fractional Fourier transform is the generalization of the classical Fourier transform. The use of fractional phase congruency can achieve better results compared to the use of the classical phase congruency. The comparison between phase congruency and fractional phase congruency for biometric iris images is given. The optimal parameters of fractional wavelet transform for iris image key points matching are found. The experimental results of the proposed method using the images from CASIA−IrisV4−Interval database are demonstrated. |
