description The aim of the research was to try to establish the correlation between the educational conditions of Polish labor emigrants in England and their level of acquiring intercultural competences. Educational conditionality was narrowed down to the final grade, with which the persons examined completed studies and secondary school. The research covered a total of 261 persons from which 119 questionnaires of those persons who demonstrated at least five years of employment in the local labor market were considered eligible for analysis. The research was carried out using the survey method with a questionnaire technique and a self-constructed research tool. Research has shown that the level of acquiring the analyzed intercultural competences depends on the grade with which the persons examined completed studies and secondary school. In the examined group of persons with higher education, those who completed studies with A- and B-grades demonstrated the highest level of acquiring the analyzed competences. However, in the examined group of persons with secondary education, the highest level of acquiring the analyzed competences was demonstrated by persons who completed their education with a C-grade. The results prove that there is a need for intercultural education of the participants involved in the educational process, regardless of its level (higher, secondary, professional, basic). The programs of all realized subjects should include the effects of education in the field of intercultural competences, because acquiring these competences guarantees not only achieving success in life or work, but also increasing the feelings of safety and having an influence on shaping the future.
