| description | In every community there are special people who set the direction and lead other people. Very often the way they perceive world becomes the way others start to see it and start to live. Such a person for the Zielona Góra-Gorzów Diocese was and still is Bishop Wilhelm Pluta. Although it’s been 27 years since his death in 1986 his work really shapes the faith and humanitarian attitude of local people. That is why it is worth seeing not only what he did for the diocese in different areas of life, what has already been often presented and analyzed in academic essays, but also we should indicate the sources of his formation, which became the base of his work. In this analysis, I want to focus on showing the sources of liturgical formation of Bishop Wilhelm Pluta. This topic deserves our special attention because after the Second Vatican Council and the Sacrosanctum Concilium constitution sacral and liturgical space changed its’ meanings. The people of the diocese needed to be introduced into those changes. The Bishop took the challenge and with a lot of his effort started working with this issue. All his previous liturgical experience, which has been presented in this article, helped him with that work. |
