Mechanical and functional properties of Cr-(Ni)-Mn-N austenitic heat-resistant steels

Research have shown that by optimizing the ratio of the base elements Cr, Mn, Ni, Si and strengthening due to the dispersion phase of VN and dispersed TiN, it is possible to create low-nickel Cr-Mn-Ni austenitic steels, as analogues to standard Cr-Ni austenitic steels with 18-24% Ni. These steels w...

Description
Summary:Research have shown that by optimizing the ratio of the base elements Cr, Mn, Ni, Si and strengthening due to the dispersion phase of VN and dispersed TiN, it is possible to create low-nickel Cr-Mn-Ni austenitic steels, as analogues to standard Cr-Ni austenitic steels with 18-24% Ni. These steels with 3-7% Ni content are not inferior in heat resistance at operating temperatures, and in some cases exceed the standard Cr-Ni steels.
