Summary:An overview of the measurements and searches in the top quark sector at the LHC is presented. Due to the large amount of data recorded by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, top quark properties and couplings in production and decay can be studied with an unprecedented precision and compared to predictions of the standard model to shed light on the possible presence of new physics.
