Description
Summary:AFRO-BRAZILIAN CULTURAL UNIVERSE HAS BEEN REPRESENTED IN DIFFERENT WAYS, AND IS CONSIDERED IMPORTANT TO THINK ABOUT HOW THESE NARRATIVES IS RELATED TO THE COMPREHENSION OF ITS CULTURES. THIS ARTICLE IS ABOUT A SEQUENCE OF BESOURO (2009), A FILM BY JOO DANIEL TIKHOMIROFF. THROUGH AN APPROACH THAT STRESSES ANTHROPOLICAL AND FILMIC ELEMENTS, I TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE STRATEGIES USED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF EXU, RELATING THE CHARACTER OF THE FILM WITH THE ORIXA AS DESCRIBED BY THE MITICAL NARRATIVES FROM THE BOOK MITOLOGIA DOS ORIXS (2001), WRITTEN BY REGINALDO PRANDI. THUS, ITS POSSIBLE TO THINK HOW THE CONTEMPORARY CINEMA IS WORKING ON ISSUES RELATED TO THE MEMORY OF THE BLACK CULTURE.
