description This article aims to discern the Colombian public policy in attention of senior citizens, their vulnerability, frequent pathologies and needs to the aging process of the Colombian population. It presents a reflection in light of human rights, bioethics, biolaw and the national plan of old age and aging 2014-2024, in the framework of distributive justice applicable to this vulnerable population in the biological, political, social, economic and environmental context. The current legislation on social security in health for older adults is examined.
