Summary: | This article aims to question the category of public space, posing two hypotheses about its constitution, and bringing up for discussion some interpretations about the work of Jacques Rancière and Ernesto Laclau. In the first place, we set out that every public space is discursively constructed, which, in our perspective, lays stress on its conflicting and political character. In the second place, we consider that continuous politicization of the public space has an emancipatory potential, emphasizing the institution of political subjectivities. |
