description The conventional Real Time Kinematic(RTK) location technology utilizes radio modem to transmit differential data between base station and mobile station. In this case, the transmission distance is limited and the location precision can be easily affected by external factors. In this paper, a practical RTK location technology which adopts 3G wireless communication technology to establish data link between mobile station and Continusly Operating Reference Station(CORS) center is proposed. The technology is implemented in S5PV210 microprocessor and Linux embedded system. This paper introduces the system architecture and operating principle of the terminal, and elaborates the methods to implement the hardware module and software module. The system has characters of good reliability, high precision and strong practicability. Test results show that the terminal is reliable and robust with centimetre-level location precision.
