A statistical study of the effects of four types of mulch which are Paspalum, shell of coffee, sawdust, Stylosanthes and a witness (bare soil) on the productivity of two varieties of tomatoes namely Campbell 1327 and Ace has been proposed. The obtained results have shown that the covered soil of mulch has a favourable influence on the productivity in weight of fruits. In the present study, other criteria that are the flowering, the growth in height and in diameter of the plants are used to show the contribution level of these variables on the weight productivity of these two varieties of tomatoes. |
