Myths, folklore and mythological motifs were related by people to ancient sky picture and time reconing, the calendar, timekeeping system; holy sites, rock paintings were studied, the symbols and markings were decoded. Art and documentaries on the topic became very powerful media influencing mentality and culture also outside Estonia. Central to the movement were charismatic persons. Research interdisciplinary in its nature was conducted outside of institutions, allowing for liberal choice of topics, interpretations and methods. |
