Description
Summary:Fever is a common finding in many diseases. Seen mostly in infections, it can also occur in noninfectious pathologies. Thyroiditis is one of its rare causes found when exploring the etiology of fever with unknown origin. It can be diagnosed easily if it is considered when making a differential diagnosis. In this paper, we described three thyroiditis cases that were encountered when exploring the etiology of fever with unknown origin in our clinic. Their common complaints were fever, sore throat and weight loss. The thyroid glands were found sensitive in all cases during physical examinations. High erythrocyte sedimentation rate, leukocytosis, and thyroid stimulating hormone inhibition were found in their laboratory tests.
