Summary:In 40 patients with newly diagnosed colorectal cancer identify circulating tumor cells the Veridex CellSearch system. In the tissue of the tumor was determined by the presence of KRAS mutations for Real-Time qPCR technique. Was found a connection of an elevated number of CTCS in the venous blood with the presence of tumor mutations in the KRAS gene. In patients with high levels of CTCS and the presence of mutations, earlier developed distant metastases.
