description In the dossier of inscriptions from Lepcis Magna, the work of the governor Laenatius Romulus between 324 and 326 commands attention. In addition to a traditional eulogy of the virtues of a governor, the epigraphic evidence reveals his role as someone who ordered ‘great works’.
